Employee Educational Trainings
All faculty, staff and student employees must complete online prevention training sessions related to Unlawful Harassment, EEO Laws & Discrimination, and Title IX Awareness & Violence. The trainings are being implemented to meet expectations communicated by the Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights, and to ensure that all employees are well informed of their responsibilities under University policy and federal law. The trainings also reflect our institutional values of mutual respect, inclusion, and the celebration of diverse people and ideas.
Workplace Answers, the third-party vendor the University works with to offer these trainings, communicates each employee's required training links via email. (To help ensure proper delivery of these communications, employees are advised to whitelist all email coming from Workplace Answers and/or firstname.lastname@example.org.)
ALL employees (part-time and full-time) must complete all three training modules once every two years as a condition of employment. All new employees must complete all three trainings within 30 days of their employment. (New employee data is loaded into the training system on the twenty-eighth day of each month. This will generate an auto email prompt specific to each employee's training requirements.)
Employees can initiate and re-enter the modules--they do not need to be completed in a single session. Supervisors should provide employees work time to complete the modules.
Due to copyright restrictions on the trainings, limited classroom training can be offered by the Office of Equity and Inclusion; thus employees are strongly encouraged to take the trainings online. If there are special circumstances that prevent an employee from completing the trainings online, please contact the Office of Equity and Inclusion at 859-622-8020, or by email at email@example.com for assistance.
