Bio

Lindsey A. Carter completed her juris doctor at the University of Dayton School of Law. Prior to that, she graduated cum laude from Georgetown College with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Communication and Mass Media Studies.

Before joining EKU as an Equal Opportunity Investigator, Lindsey worked as a civil litigation attorney with a firm in Lexington, Kentucky. In this capacity, Lindsey represented individuals and businesses (by and through their insurance policies) as well as insurance carriers in several areas, including: auto litigation, fire and casualty investigations/litigation, insurance defense, and extra-contractual coverage issues.   

Lindsey is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA). In addition, she is a member of the Junior League of Lexington and was a member of the Central Kentucky American Inns of Court during the 2015-2016 calendar year.

A native of Pikeville, Kentucky, Lindsey enjoys volunteering in her community with the Junior League of Lexington, working out, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Russell.
